In Chinese, you can express your excitements, praise, admiration and sudden emotions by using the adverb 太 (tài, too, really). When 太 (tài, too, really) is used in an exclamatory sentence, 了 (le) usually appears at the end of the sentence. Such sentence does not usually convey new factual information but the speakers' approval, disapproval, etc.
